The Mane Event

Three more Fractured Dimensions minis down... many, many more to go. These are manes (a type of demon) sculpted by Pedro Navarro.

Very small minis on 20mm bases

  2. Awesome job Finch! Super sick colour scheme, love the purple hair. The bases are very cool, you make them yourself?

    1. Thanks, Bob. Hopefully I'm not getting repetitive. Purple and yellow seems to be my preferred fallback color scheme.

These three were painted at the request of someone else. He provided them to me already based and primed. It looked like gel medium was used to texture the base.

  3. Indeed---the bases are cooler than the minis!

    Very nice work, Finch! :D

    1. The bases are singled out for praise and I wasn't even responsible for them. Oh, the injustice!! ;-)

Thank you, Allan. In defense of the minis, they're not without their charms. I warmed up to them considerably while painting them.

    1. Thank you, Simon. How the bases would paint up had me a little worried at first. They turned out well enough in the end.

  7. I can attest to the fact that these minis are small and challenging to paint. Finch's job is superb. I particularly like the color scheme, and the shading in opposite color washes (I presume they are washes). I can only hope to one day attain this level of painting prowess, however unlikely.

  8. They look suitably creepy .... spot on with the colours. It isn't easy making bright colours look creepy but you did, and did it well.

Its a pleasure to see these little ones so well painted.
