Fractured Dimensions' Larvae are done. While a bit tricky to base they were certainly enjoyable to paint. I aimed for sickly yellow, as described in the original Monster Manual but somehow wound up with sickly green; a curious occurrence as there was no green paint used. No worries. I like how they turned out and consider them as a success.
No green paint... honest |
Awaiting final assembly |
Simulates barren shale quite nicely |
Yikes! Two per base gave me enough trouble, thank you very much. |
The product of my labors, in all their sickly yellow (or green) glory:
I love that basing material, these guys look suitably gross :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. It was my first time using the mica flake gel as the sole basing material. Very happy with the product. I currently have a couple minis awaiting paint where it was used to simulate fallen leaves a la James Wappel.
DeleteThese are wonderfully grotesque!
ReplyDeleteVery cool little sculpts. I did what I could to bring out their inner grotesqueness.
DeleteFabulous, love the look of these and suitable gross to behold. Lovely work fella!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Simon. They are unpleasant-looking little buggers for sure.
DeleteStand out stuff once again Finch, simply stand out stuff. They look terrifying!!!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, BK.
DeleteSuperb...but eugh!
ReplyDeleteWhat? You find the notion of giant worms with human heads repulsive in some way? ;)
DeleteGreat! Nicely disturbing with a very suitable paint job!

That's very kind of you to say, Don.
DeleteJust got an eyeful of the "Nurgle Demon Turbo Destructor Cyborg" on your blog. That's disturbing. This, by comparison, barely moves the needle on the disturb-o-meter.
Thank you very much, Roy.
ReplyDeleteSweet, those things are creepy as hell!
ReplyDeleteMuch appreciated.
DeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteYour painting is super awesome here!!! Also appreciate you sharing the paints you are using for them. Thanks for sharing. These little tips are gold to me.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kuan. Glad to be of service.
DeleteIn a sense I'm also leaving a record for myself. My memory's far from infallible.
