Where the heck did Summer go? More to the point, why does that countdown clock in the margin show only four plus days until Zomtober? That can't be right, can it?
It can and it is. Zomtober '15 is upon us.

I've got five minis under construction as we speak. More ghouls than zombies but hopefully still in keeping with the spirit of things. Removing the broccoli-bases from the Reaper offerings took some doing but everybody's now ready to move forward.
On the Fractured dimensions front, Dispater is done save for the varnish and mounting to the base. My problems with brush-on matte varnish persist, otherwise he'd be finished.
The next FD minis on the table are the larvae. I'll see if I can push forward with them along with the Zomtober ghouls.
There's also a rather bizarre conversion project in the works that ties in with the larvae but that stays under wraps for the moment.
Looking forward to your entries enormously Finch, and those ghouls look very good choices indeed. Always enjoy your inspirational WIPs as well, so hopefully they'll be a few of these along the way as well :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, BK. I'll definitely snap some pics along the way.
DeleteI love the larvae! They're right out of the 1st ed. Monster Manual.
ReplyDeleteLove the larvae! Look forward to seeing what you do with them all!
ReplyDeleteShould be straightforward. Each is basically just a head on a worm.
DeleteLike you I can't believe that we are on the brink of another Zomtober, let the ghoulish fun begin.
ReplyDeleteFour days?! Damn, I thought I had a little longer before it started.
ReplyDeleteIt snuck up on me too.
DeleteWhat! Already? Best clean the dust off my brush.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your usual amazing output dude.
Thanks, Bob. Look forward to your contributions as well.
DeleteI'd love some of the FD stuff but it does not appear to be on sale anywhere? Might just join in Zomtober myself.
ReplyDeleteThe more the merrier, Ant Master.
DeleteHumbrol Matt Varnish is the best matt varnish I've found. Second best is Jo Sonja's Satin Varnish, which is less shiny than the matt varnish, although that could just be a odd pot. I'm not sure how the Humbrol stuff goes through the airbrush, but the Jo Sonja's stuff works a treat when diluted with a bit of windex.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing the ghouls painted.
Ah turns out its called Matt Cote
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, Kara.
DeleteThat larvae looks super weird. They are creeping me out big time. Ewww .... ewww again. That being said I'm still curious as to what you plan for them.
ReplyDeleteThey are creepy. The plan calls for yellow, but that's only tentative.
