I nearly finished on time... nearly.
My contribution to this week's Zomtober festivities is Otherworld Miniatures'
Penanggalan. An unusual mini and a triple threat: 1) Zomtober appropriate, 2) Sculpted by Paul Muller, 3) Found in the Fiend Folio.
The
Penanggalan is from Malaysian folklore. A bizarre beastie to be sure.
This has been painted in the same scheme as last Zomtober's red ghouls. More to follow.
What an amazing face!
ReplyDeleteThe mini's little more than a face, lots of hair, and some dangling guts. Luckily Mr. Muller brought his A-game with the face.
DeleteNice mini, unusual for sure but intriguing
ReplyDeleteA nice departure from western style vampires.
DeleteCorking stuff Finch. I don't know which is scarier though, the excellent paint-job or how fragile the mini looks :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Simon. It likely wouldn't survive a fall of any distance, that's for sure.
DeleteTerrifying...but brilliant!
ReplyDeleteMuch appreciated, Gordon.
DeleteGreat work! As the others have mentioned, the face is perfect. The Penanggalan is one of my all time favourites from the FF (she must taken second place to a Son of Kyuss).
ReplyDeleteI'm a flumph-man myself but the son of Kyuss definitely has its charm... disgusting, worm-riddled charm.
DeleteBeautiful paintjob, but one seriously messed up mini, I love it!
ReplyDeleteCheers Roger.
Thank you, Roger.
Deleteheh heh. One o' me favorite monsters. So goofy and gross. Really enjoying your work on these Otherworld figures. More, more more!
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly, Mr. Mouse.
DeleteBloody creepy looking thing! Nice work dude looks ace!
ReplyDeleteMuch appreciated, Simon.
DeleteOh wow ... amazing work Finch. Skin tones have fantastic contrast for something so tiny.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kuan.
