I've done freehand before but I'm not sure I've done it well.

What's seen here is the second version of the hat. The first wasn't terrible, but it wasn't especially good either. As I felt I was spinning my wheels somewhat, I put the piece aside and worked on the mule. The round shield that is part of the mule's burden wound up white and green. It looked good IMO and it occurred to me that painting the hat similarly would tie the two together.Finchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129945734586365556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5176622238869731118.post-20224156519089135942014-08-03T12:20:31.986-04:002014-08-03T12:20:31.986-04:00I really love this piece ... as you know I am a fa...I really love this piece ... as you know I am a fan of pastels. Was it just purely the challenge of doing some freehand?FourEyedMonsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18161202517627920103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5176622238869731118.post-91110546029463430802014-08-01T20:41:54.476-04:002014-08-01T20:41:54.476-04:00Thanks, Chris.
